Kick off your holiday season in Brookhaven with the beloved Light Up Brookhaven celebration on Wednesday, December 3, from 6PM to 9PM at Blackburn Park. This festive event brings the community together for an unforgettable evening full of holiday cheer. Start the night with the grand arrival of Santa, making his entrance by helicopter, courtesy of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. After that, snap a photo with Santa and capture memories that will last a lifetime.

The highlight of the evening is the lighting of Brookhaven’s dazzling 40-foot Christmas tree and a beautiful Hanukkah Menorah, filling the park with festive light and joy. As you stroll through the park, enjoy live holiday music that will have you tapping your feet, and savor tasty bites from a variety of local food trucks offering seasonal favorites.

There’s no shortage of family fun at Light Up Brookhaven! Children will be delighted by activities such as bouncy houses, inflatables, train rides, a petting zoo, and hands-on crafts. And for those hoping to score some festive surprises, keep an eye out for special holiday giveaways—available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Get into the holiday spirit at A Merry Makers Market at Town Brookhaven as the season comes alive with twinkling lights, festive charm, and one of a kind creations from talented local makers. Boar's Head Concert at Oglethorpe University

Celebrate one of Oglethorpe University’s most cherished traditions at the Boar's Head 2025 Concert and Celebration on Friday, December 5 from 8 PM to 9:30 PM at the Conant Performing Arts Center. For nearly a century, this beloved event has marked the beginning of the OU holiday season and continues to bring together students, alumni, faculty, staff, and the surrounding community for an evening filled with music and tradition.

Enjoy a festive program presented by the Oglethorpe University Music Department and the Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK) national leadership honor society. The night features performances by the Oglethorpe University Singers, Chorale, Jazzy Petrels, and the OU Symphony under the direction of Dr. Andrew Schmidt and Dr. Nico Gutierrez. The celebration also includes the annual announcement of new ODK inductees and a special reading selected by the members of ODK, along with the presentation of the legendary Boar’s Head.

New this year, tickets are no longer required. Seating is open and available on a first come, first served basis, making it easier than ever to be part of this treasured Oglethorpe holiday tradition.

You can register for free 45-minute skating sessions online, but don’t worry—there will be a limited number of walk-up spots available too!

For those looking to cozy up, Snowed In Cinema is the perfect spot to catch classic holiday films under the twinkling lights, creating a warm and nostalgic atmosphere. Let your creativity flow at Santa’s Village, where visitors can enjoy arts and crafts activities, perfect for spreading holiday cheer. Feeling hungry? Festive Food Lane has you covered with food trucks and concessions offering seasonal bites and sweet treats.

For some lighthearted competition, head over to Grinch Games, a fun lawn game area where families can challenge each other to a variety of games that will keep everyone laughing and playing together. Murder Mystery and Mayhem & Boar's Head Feast at Petite Violette

Petite Violette is bringing the magic of the season to life with two unforgettable holiday dining experiences that blend festive entertainment with the restaurant’s signature French charm. On select Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays throughout December, guests can enjoy Murder on 34th Street, a laugh filled interactive mystery from Murder, Mystery, and Mayhem. This lively holiday whodunit pairs a gourmet four course French dinner and a glass of wine with a hilarious storyline featuring Doris Skeptical, her quick thinking daughter Suzie, and a lineup of beloved holiday characters. It is the perfect evening for adults and kids ten and up who love a mix of comedy, mystery, and festive spirit.

Then on December 15, 16, and 18, Petite Violette transforms into a Renaissance inspired celebration for the Boar’s Head Feast, presented by the Capitol City Opera Company. Guests will enjoy an elegant four course meal accompanied by the Madrigal Singers, an a cappella ensemble performing both secular and sacred holiday favorites in full period costume. With doors opening at 6:30 PM and the performance beginning at 7 PM, this enchanting evening offers music, tradition, and a feast worthy of the season.

Get ready for a tail wagging good time at Santa Paws in Brookhaven Park on Sunday, December 21 from 11 AM to 2 PM.
